はじめに
文学小説を英語の原文で、楽しく読むためのシリーズです。
英文になるべく近い形で、しかも、文学作品として読めるような翻訳を付けており、楽しく英語原作が読めるようになっています。
本書では、小泉八雲（ラフカディオ・ハーン）の『怪談』より、YUKI-ONNA（雪女）、MUJINA（むじな）、A DEAD
SECRET（葬られた秘密）の三作品を取り上げました。
怪談の原文は英語です。様々な日本語訳がありますが、一度、日本語で読んでいても、そうではなくても、英語で読むと大変面白いです。

茂作と巳之吉は武蔵の国に住んでいます。
二人が森に行くには、川を渡らなければなりません。
